From 15 March to 2 June 2024, the Mori Arts Centre Gallery in Tokyo the MUCA exhibition "Icons of Urban Art".
The exhibition in Tokyo is part of the tour "MUCA goes Japan"which began in Kyushu (Oita) in summer 2023, then travelled to Kyoto and is now making its final stop in Japan's vibrant capital, "MUCA goes Japan" is the first time the MUCA has presented over 70 iconic masterpieces from its collection of urban and contemporary art internationally.
The focus of "Icons of Urban Art" in Japan is on ten internationally recognised artists and pioneers of urban art, including Banksy, Kaws and Barry McGee, with a selection of works, some of which are being seen in Japan for the first time.
As the official ambassador of the exhibition in Tokyo, the Japanese star actor Koshi Mizukami could be won over. He will comment on the audio guide to the works exclusively for the exhibition at the Mori Arts Centre Gallery.
Tickets have been on sale since the end of January.
