Damien Hirst's famous platinum cast of a human skull will be on view for the first time in Germany in the artist's major survey exhibition at MUCA, which opens on 26 October 2023 at MUCA in Munich. "For the Love of God" from 2007 will be exhibited for a limited time as part of the solo show "The Weight of Things".
The artwork consists of 32 platinum plates set with 8,601 diamonds, weighing a total of 1,106.18 carats. The skull underlines Hirst's fascination with diamonds and the inherent uncertainty about their value.
"For the Love of God" will only be on display at the MUCA Bunker until 28 January 2024. Therefore, secure the limited tickets in time and experience the skull as an extra highlight!
