We are currently showing "The Weight of Things" by Damien Hirst, his first and largest survey exhibition in Germany. Hirst's famous diamond skull "For the Love of God" was on display in the MUCA Bunker until the end of January. The entire exhibition in the MUCA main building will run until autumn 2024.
The MUCA Collection is currently being shown in parts in Japan and is therefore not currently on display at the Munich location.
In order to be sure of getting a ticket at the desired admission time and to shorten the waiting time, it is always advisable to book a ticket for the desired timeslot online in advance. Spontaneous ticket purchases are of course also possible on site at reception, depending on availability.
Please note: Even with a pre-booked online ticket, you must check in at reception!
No, tickets must be bought online in advance or purchased at reception. Every guest must also check in at reception.
All visitors, including those with tickets booked online in advance, must first check in at reception. There may therefore be short waiting times at popular times, such as weekends.
In the exhibition rooms you will find QR codes with extensive information on the works and series by Damien Hirst and on the artist himself.
The exhibition is also accompanied by a catalogue, which you can pick up in the shop on site or at online can acquire.
Pupils, students, trainees, pensioners, the unemployed and visitors with a degree of disability of 50 per cent or more pay a reduced admission fee of 9 euros with proof of disability. Admission is free for children under the age of 12 (Please note: For the current exhibition Damien Hirst - "The Weight of Things", however, we recommend a minimum age of 12 years).

As the MUCA is housed in a former substation, the MUCA is unfortunately not completely barrier-free. However, we have a disabled-friendly access ramp at the entrance, so that access to some of the exhibitions on the ground floor is possible.
Pushchairs and buggies must be parked in the entrance area, and baby slings are recommended for the exhibition.
Unfortunately, dogs cannot be taken into the exhibition.
The videos and photos may only be used for non-commercial purposes, for example for personal posts on social media.
Please make sure that no third parties are visible in the photos
Please note that a refund is not possible.
is not possible.
In principle, the MUCA is open to children of all ages. However, for the current exhibition Damien Hirst - "The Weight of Things" we recommend a minimum age of 12 years.
All (shopping) bags, rucksacks and bags must be handed in at check-in. Please refrain from bringing large (travelling) luggage, as we have limited space.
Unfortunately, MUCA's own car parks are not available. Individual spaces for disabled persons can be offered on request. There is also a public multi-storey car park in the immediate vicinity. However, due to the central location in the heart of Munich, we recommend travelling by public transport (Marienplatz S-Bahn/U-Bahn station and Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn/tram station in the immediate vicinity).
The bunker is directly adjacent to the MUCA main building. In the former air raid shelter from the Second World War, the MUCA usually shows special exhibitions or special formats for the current exhibition, which can be staged particularly impressively in this characteristic building. For example, Damien Hirst's famous diamond skull was presented here until the end of January 2024.
As a rule, exhibitions in the bunker can only be visited with a pre-booked guided tour or timeslot. Please refer to our website www.muca.eu inform!
The impressive sculpture "Legend" and a huge spot painting await you on the outdoor areas of the MUCA as part of Damien Hirst's current solo show.
